Manage risks and promote resilience: a career in Resilience and Risk Advisory

Natural disasters, cybercrime, burglary and power outages — today’s risk scenarios are wide-ranging. Commercial risks are just as varied, from insolvencies, schedules and costs to contracts and change orders. As part of our Resilience and Risk Advisory team, you help organizations, companies and projects become crisis-ready and resilient.

Our job is not just to manage risks, but to transform them into strategic opportunities. The advice we give our clients is structured and comprehensive, from the analysis of existing threat scenarios and the development of suitably tailored resilience and security strategies through to actual implementation and support in day-to-day operations. We make equal allowance for technical, organizational and commercial aspects and create solutions that can respond flexibly to changing conditions.

Working here, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team that brings together its experience, curiosity and pragmatism to make a genuine impact, thereby ensuring stable business processes, safe work environments and resilient structures. Because we believe security is not static. It is a continual process that brings together planning, innovation and collaboration.

Our fields of application

In Risk Advisory, you actively shape security for challenging projects. You identify risks at an early stage, assess them in depth and develop strategies to ensure projects stay on track in terms of costs, schedule and legal requirements. You build and expand professional risk management systems, perform risk analyses and simulations, and establish the basis for safe decision-making through a transparent monitoring process.

In addition, you bring a clear structure to complex procurement processes. You check offers, monitor award processes and ensure that costs, quality and contract content all align.

Your expertise is also called for in contract and claim management. You analyze critical contract relationships, undertake expert claim assessments and support our clients in enforcing justified claims and defending unjustified ones. For negotiations, you develop clear strategies, prepare processes or take the lead on negotiations yourself. And if projects falter, you use Project Recovery to put them back on track, reorganize complex situations and safeguard everyone’s ability to act and take decisions. In short, you create transparency, stability and trust across all project phases.

In the Resilience Advisory team, you turn resilience into an active future strategy. You help prepare buildings, building services systems and organizations for natural events, outages, cyberattacks and complex disruption —with foresight, a holistic approach and a strong focus on reaching practical solutions. To this end, you analyze threats, assess their potential impact and develop integrated resilience strategies that bring together aspects of physical, technical, structural and digital security in a practical way.

You also keep an eye on general conditions: Legal regulations like KRITIS, health and safety requirements and concepts for Safe City and Safe Campus environments are a natural part of your work. Your goal is to create sustainable structures that protect companies and ensure business continuity.

Your expertise becomes particularly visible when it comes to concrete measures. You perform risk, environment and business impact analyses, develop appropriate protection concepts for people, assets, buildings and production processes, and guide the implementation from the initial idea through to practical operation. You also contribute your knowledge to cyber security from threat analyses and IT security concepts through to penetration tests and awareness-raising measures.

As a result of your work, clients can respond effectively in critical situations and rely on structures that truly hold up.
