YOUR TASKS
The IT Vendor and Resource Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience, is responsible for managing relationships with IT vendors and ensuring the efficient allocation and utilization of IT resources within the organization. This role plays a crucial part in controlling costs, enhancing IT service delivery, and aligning technology resources with business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: identify, evaluate, and manage IT vendors, including negotiation of contracts and performance tracking. Maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations.
- Resource Allocation: collaborate with IT teams and project managers to understand resource requirements. Allocate IT resources efficiently, considering skillsets, availability, and project priorities. Monitor and adjust resource allocation to meet project demands.
- Cost Control: Analyze IT expenditures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with vendors to optimize spending. Implement cost-effective resource management practices.
- Contract Management: draft, review, and manage IT-related contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Renew, modify, or terminate contracts as needed, following industry best practices.
- Relationship Building: cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal IT teams, vendors, and service providers. Act as a liaison between the organization and external vendors, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Performance Metrics: establish and track KPIs for vendor and resource management, providing data-driven insights. Generate reports and analyses to support decision-making and optimization efforts.
- Risk Management: identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships and resource allocation. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure operational continuity.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, IT Management).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT vendor management and resource allocation.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of IT procurement processes, cost control, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of legal and compliance aspects related to vendor contracts.
- Proficiency in IT resource management tools and software.
